Department of Pediatrics established in 1934, and it has 105 full time faculty members (23 full professors, 23 Associate professors, 59 Assistant Professors). There are 3 main hospitals for department of pediatrics, Children Medical Center, Bahrami Children’s hospital and Valiasr Pediatrics ward. Also some satellite hospital like Shariati hospital (33 Neonatal Beds), Yas hospital (21 Beds), Ziaeyan Hospital (21 Beds), Baharlou Hospital Thalassemia division & NICU (51 Beds).
The affiliated research center to department of Pediatrics are Growth & Development, Primary Immunodeficiency, Asthma & Allergy, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Breast Feeding, Mother& Fetus and Pediatric Urology.
